The information at the base of this panel shows immigration into Victoria: indicating Catherine originally emigrated to Austrlia 1885, possibly to join Matthew Henry who had gone three years earlier. If that were the case, Catherine quickly returned as her signature, as witness, appears on Alexandra Edith's marriage certificate Birmingham 1888, Catherine subsequently living in Kent according to the 1891 Kent census. It appears Catherine,like her sister Sarah, was then nursing at the Kent Nursing Institution. Indeed Sarah Tunaley's gravestone indicates Catherine and Sarah Gronow trained as nurses at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary before moving further south from their original Manchester home.
