Robert d. August, 1820, Derby.

Robert qualified as a surgeon in 1823. Records show that as part of his training he studied at St. Thomas's and Guys Hospitals, London, and spent four years in practical training at what was then Derby General Infirmary. Unlike Charles Tunaley (b. 1808) who became an F.R.C.S., Robert did not become a member of the society but instead entered the practice of Thomas Kemball, surgeon and apothecary of Wymondham and Robert's future father-in-law.

Tunaley vs Roch - April 27th 1857 - a challenge to second wife Constantia's will by the other Tunaleys, following her death, 1856.

Challenge appears to be whether on Constantia's death estate should go to Constantia Maria Roch or divided equally between all Robert's children.
